I.EP International

 

爱培国际以促进东西文化融合为己任,用整体化教学方法培养青少年积极参与社区及家庭活动,承担责任,先人后己。

I.EP International are committed to promoting the integration of the Eastern and Western cultures, taking a holistic approach that educates young people to be active participants and leaders in their home and communities.

爱培IB  

I.EP is the candidate school of the International Baccalaureate Organization. PYP and MYP, the both programs are committed to developing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people.

IB programmes are internationally developed and recognized educational frameworks that are highly regarded in many countries across the globe. They align with our goals for providing student-centered teaching and bringing real world, authentic experiences into the classroom. Holistic character development and in-depth mastery of skills and knowledge are of key importance to the program.

The strength of our program is providing a developed, coherent, meaningful educational pathway for students. Teachers, students and parents will recognize a common educational framework that exists across both programs—a consistent philosophy about teaching and learning that focuses on the development of the whole child, and an overarching concept of how to develop international-mindedness.

 

 

 

二、特色课程介绍

Introduction of Curriculum features

 

中文附加课程CAL program

 

中文作为附加语言的学生在中文学习上面临很多的挑战,CAL课堂主要是在中文听、说、读、写四个方面帮助这些学生达到与同龄学生相当的语言水平。课程安排:中文课由中文语言支持老师(Chinese Language Support Teacher)进入课室进行小组或者个人辅导,一周 2-3 课时。周一选修课期间,经家长同意,对学生进行中文辅导。

Students learning Chinese as an additional language are faced with a number of challenges. CAL teacher help students to make progress and to achieve the same level of educational success as other students they must develop literacy in Chinese by: ·learning to speak Chinese · learning to read and write Chinese. Language support teacher will come into the class and assist the students 2 to 3 times a week and help the students at 15:00-16:00 every Monday.

编程&机器人课程STEAM curriculum (Robotics)

 

我们下学期将要开设的编程&机器人课程,属于 STEAM 课程体系。它通过各色动手实践的活动,让学生直接操作机器人,学习跨学科知识,培养计算机学科思维而非编程本身,在手脑联动的过程中将 所学知识内化,培养孩子应对飞速 发展的未来社会的能力。其中一种机器人可以读取马克笔画出的彩色 线条,从而根据这些色彩片段对应 的程序做出相应的动作。另一种模块机器人,孩子可以调整不同模块的顺序和结构,实现不同的功能。

Presents an innovative way to teach programming, math, art and science with different hands-on activities. Students will learn the computational thinking which will prepare them for our changing future. Our robots can be programmed with intuitive color language to execute commands. Our second-tier robots allows students to discover, on their own, how to use cube lets to build robots that sense and act. These are all hands-on activities requiring transdisciplinary skills which will engage and inspire and bring the topics to life.   

 

 

英语附加课程EAL Program

在华师附外我们有一个特别设计的EAL(英语作为一门附加语言)课程以帮助学生开发他们的英语语言能力。学生们本身具备不同层次的语言能力加入进来,我们为他们提供了开发这些技能的工具和帮助。

一旦加入我们华师附外的EAL课程,在上学期间我们的学生会接受小规模的英语强化。这些班级课程的师生比很低,享有这种额外的支持,我们的学生有机会在一个温馨且有教育性的环境中学习并发展他们的技能。

华师附外的EAL部门保证我们的学生可以在阅读、写作、听力和口语方面获取个性化的帮助。我们和英语学科部门紧密协作来确保学生们取得成功。

基于学生们的不同水准,我们有3个不同的班级。1、体验课程是针对刚刚开始接触英语的新生,需要帮助来达到年级水平;2、探索课程帮助略落后于同级水平,需要一些额外帮助的学生;3、探险课程是针对已经具备很高英语能力且需要更前端支持的学生来帮助他们继续拓展在英语方面的优势。

从最基础的1级到最高级的3级,我们的老师正在尽最大的努力并运用不同的资源,全面深入地帮助我们的学生开发语言能力。
At SCNUFL we have a specialized EAL (English as an Additional Language) program designed to help students develop their English language abilities. Our students join us with different language abilities, and we provide them with the tools and help they need to develop those skills.

Once enrolled in our EAL program at SCNUFL, our students are offered additional English- focused classes that are supported and taught in small class sizes within the school day. These small classes offer a low student to teacher ratio. With this extra support, our students have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in a warm and nurturing environment.
The EAL department at SCNUFL collaborates to ensure that our students are receiving personalized help in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We work closely with the English department to ensure that our students succeed.

We have 3 different classes based on the student’s level of English acquisition: 1. Explorers Class is for students who are new to the English language and need support to reach grade level ability; 2. Discoverers Class helps students who have not far behind their grade level but need a little extra support; 3. Adventurers Class is for students who come into our program with a significantly higher English acquisition level and require advanced support to continue progressing in their mastery of the English language.
From our most basic level 1 to our most advanced level 3, our teachers are using all of their efforts and resources to develop in depth the language skills of our students.

公众演讲Public Speaking

 

公众演讲:通过简单的英语押韵和故事,学生们会习惯于在团体面前讲话,最终发表自己的演讲。

Public Speaking: Students will become comfortable with speaking in front of groups by presenting simple English rhymes and stories to eventually delivering their own speech.

 

 

(STEAM模块)STEAM Blocks

 

本课程的设计重点是美学和设计艺术,并获得物理和手工艺术方面的经验。在这门课程中,学生将有机会发展他们的工程,规划和创造技能。使用模块化阻塞系统,学生将接受开放的探究课程,为他们自己的设计创造有意义的模型和结构。

Science & Technology, interpreted through Engineering & the Arts, all based in Mathematical elements. (Modular blocks) - This course is designed with emphasis on the art of aesthetics and design, and to acquire experience in physical and manual arts. In this course, student will have the opportunity to develop their engineering, planning, and creativity skills. Using a modular blocking system, students will be tasked in open inquiry lessons to create meaningful models and structures of their own design.

 

 

 

跨越海洋Across the sea

 

跨越海洋!:学生将参与地理学,努力了解这个世界是如何运作的。学生将学习外国,首都,当地美食和习俗,音乐,语言和历史意义。

Across the Sea!: Students will engage geography in an effort to understand how the world works. Students will learn about foreign countries, capitals, local food and customs, music, language, and historical significance.

 

 

无限及超越To infinity and beyond

 

无限及超越:学生将探索空间和宇宙 - 了解行星,恒星和我们的太阳系。课程将结束与学生创建我们的银河模型。

To Infinity and Beyond: Students will explore space and the universe – learning about planets, stars, and our solar system. The course will finish with students creating a model of our galaxy.

在副校长的领导下,IEP行政团队分工明确,认真负责,落实到位,重视反馈,办事效率高,充分体现了一支高质量团队应具备的职业素养。

SCNUFL has an outstanding professional management team for its IEP. The members of the leadership team are from different countries, and all have many years of teaching and management, exemplifying the international, progressive, and diverse culture of the IEP.

Under the leadership of Principal He, the IEP leaders have clearly defined roles. Each team member is conscientious and responsible and is committed to the highest standards of educational quality. The leadership team is constantly seeking ways to improve themselves so that they can better lead the IEP.

 

 


 

李红 Julia

华师附外副校长兼IEP总负责人 Vice Principal of SCNUFL

 

华南师范大学附属外国语学校副校长,学校校本课程研发的组织者和实践者。曾荣获剑桥英语明星教师称号,有二十年国际学校工作经验。有丰富的教育教学管理经验和对外交流工作经验。参加过北师大教育管理专业、美国伍斯特大学跨学科课程研发及香港公开大学教学管理研习班等。

Julia is the vice president of Affiliated Foreign language school of SCNU, Organizers and practitioners of the school-based curriculum development. She has won the title of “Cambridge English Star Teacher’’and worked in international school for 20 years . She has rich educational and teaching management experience and foreign exchange work experience . She has participated in Education management major of Beijing Normal University, the Interdisciplinary Programs development of Worcester Academy in America and the seminar of open university teaching management in Hong Kong.

 

 

 

 

Tony Bazen

IEP学术总监 IEP Academic Supervisor


Tony来自美国,出生于北卡罗来纳州,也曾在伊利诺伊州和佛罗里达州生活过。这是他到中国的第三年,他爱这里,已经把中国视作自己新的家乡。               

在教育领域,Tony拥有超过20年的工作经验,曾经担任过教师、教练、学术总监以及校长。在他的生命中,有几位老师曾深深地激励过他,他也有意愿在华师附外鼓舞我们的学生,让他们的生活与众不同。

Tony is an American who was born in the state of North Carolina but have also lived in Illinois and Florida This is his third year in China, and he really loves it. He considers China to now be his new home.

Tony has over 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, coach, academic supervisor, and Principal. He had several teachers in his life who really inspired him, and he desires to also make a difference in the lives of students here at SCNUFL

I.EP教师团队来自世界各地,秉承追求卓越的学术精神,致力于融合东方、西方及国际教育的精髓,在学术总监及协调员带领下,每周集体备课、协作制定教学计划,实施超学科&跨学科整体化教学。教学既按严格的教学标准授课,又采用生动而富有启发的教学方法。我们的教师是学生的倾听者也是关爱学生的爱护者。

The I.EP teaching staff is truly an international team. Each teacher is dedicated to the pursuit of academic excellence, integrating the best practices of both Eastern and Western education to offer students a unique international education. Under the leadership of the Academic Director and Department Coordinators, teachers carefully plan each lesson according to the highest quality of pedagogical methodologies. Teachers strive to make their lessons relevant, engaging, and significant so that students can learn important concepts that will help them tackle life’s challenges. Our teachers care about their students, actively listening to them and sincerely caring for them. 

 

Michael

PYP Coordinator and Homeroom Teacher PYP

协调员兼外方班主任

Michael来自于英国。曾在南美IB学校任教。正在攻读桑德兰大学的国际教育硕士。他相信教育应该是有趣的、相关联的,更重要是由学生主导的。学生有权利管理教室如何布置,教学内容要如何教。他认为教师的角色应该是帮助学习,而不是领导学习。Michael是IEP外方班主任,同时担任PYP协调员。

Michael is from London in England. He has taught in IB schools in South America and in now in China. He is in the process of completing a Post Graduate degree in Education at  the University of Sunderland  with the intention of following on with a Master’s Degree in International Education. He believes that education at should be fun, relevant, and most importantly, student led. Students should have control of how the classrooms looks, on the content being taught and how it is taught. Michael feels that the teacher’s role should be to facilitate learning, rather than to lead it. Michael is the homeroom teacher and our PYP coordinator.

Martin

Homeroom Teacher and English Teacher外方班主任兼英语老师

Martin来自新西兰,1999年毕业于梅西大学,获得了地理学学士学位。他在中国有超过10年的教学经验。2007年至2015年期间,在深圳南山中国国际学院任教,教授CIPP(剑桥国际小学课程)。

他的教学任务是在英语教学领域积累知识和经验。力求达到专业的高水平,全面提升学生的学习潜能,满足并超越他们的期望。

Martin is from New Zealand. He graduated from Massey University with a BA in Geography in 1999. He has had over 10 years teaching experience in China. He taught at Nanshan Chinese International College in Shenzhen from 2007 to 2015 teaching the CIPP (Cambridge International Primary Programme).

His career mission in teaching is to build on his knowledge and experience in the field of English Language Teaching. To reach a high level of professionalism and to fully promote the learning potential within his students to meet and exceed their expectations.

 

杨苗 Mia

EAL Teacher and Homeroom Teacher EAL教师及中方班主任

 

Mia本科毕业于华南师范大学英语师范专业,取得墨尔本大学教育学硕士学位(IB PYP)以及IB教学证书。曾作为交换生就读于台湾师范大学,曾赴上海外国语大学高翻学院学习,曾于广州大学进修并取得美国乔治亚州立大学TESOL证书。育人理念始终坚持尊重孩子,信任孩子,走进孩子的内心,与孩子平等对话,向孩子学习,共同成为有活力有正能量的发现者、探究者和终身学习者。

After graduating as an English teacher from the South China Normal University, Mia did her Masters of Education (IB PYP) at the University of Melbourne and obtained the certificate of IB. She has experience as an exchange student in Taiwan Normal University. She participated in the Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation in Shanghai International Studies University, and got her TESOL certificate from Georgia State University. Her idea of education adheres to respecting children, trusting children, entering children's hearts, and talking with children with an equal footing. Mia likes to learn from children, and become an active discoverer, explorer and lifelong learners together with my students.

  

 


陈薇颖 Melody

中方班主任兼语文老师  Homeroom Teacher and Chinese Teacher

Melody毕业于辽宁师范大学汉语国际教育专业。有三年以汉语为母语和第二语言的教学经验,曾在海外孔子学院任教两年,为多个国家及海外背景的华人孩子提供汉语教育。辅修心理学,在工作中善于运用各种方式来调动孩子们的学习热情。坚持“全人教育”、“正面管教”,认为人格与思维模式的成长和完善会让孩子有力量和意愿来自己管理自己,教师最好的位置是营造环境,引出问题,提供帮助。培养具有高文化修养的终身学习者是其教学的目标和出发点。

Melody graduated with a Major in Chinese International Education from Liaoning Normal University. She has three years of teaching experience in teaching Chinese to native speakers and Chinese as a second language.

Her educational philosophy is using various ways to mobilize the children's enthusiasm for learning. She adheres to the "whole person education" and "positive discipline", thinking that the growth and improvement of personality and thinking mode will enable children to have their own strength and willingness to manage themselves.

The best position for teachers is to create an environment, draw questions from students and to provide help. The training of lifelong learners with high cultural accomplishment is the goal and starting point of her teaching.

 

 

肖瑶 Yolanda

中方班主任兼语文老师  Homeroom Teacher and Chinese Teacher

 

Yolanda毕业于英国伦敦大学学院(University College London),教育学院(Institute of Education)。曾任UCL志愿服务组织教育顾问、汉语教师,已为9个国家的学生提供300小时以上的语言文化教学;任小学全科教师期间,为学生提供学科个性化辅导,通过语言训练帮助学生思维能力。爽朗而心思细密的前行者、反省者。喜欢解读语言及微表情,擅长通过分析学生和家长的语言及期待判断应该采取的教学措施,相信最好的教育方式是要与学生一起创造的。得益于细致的观察和有效的沟通,所采取的“非常态教学法”深得家长、学生、合作伙伴的认可

Yolanda is the homeroom teacher of Class Two, Grade One. She graduated from Institute of Education, University College London (UCL), was the education consultant and Chinese language teacher of UCL Volunteering Services Unit. She has already provided more than 300 hours language and culture training for students from 9 different countries. As a tutor is good at linguistic and micro-expression interpretation, she provided personalized tutoring and adopted various teaching measures after analysing students and parent’s behaviour and expectation. She believes that one of the best educations is the one created with students.

 

 

  刘杭如 Amy

学生事务主任 Student Affairs Director

 

Amy毕业于香港理工大学,并取得硕士学位以及小学学位教师文凭, 曾任职于香港英基教育协会下鰂鱼涌小学,坚尼地小学中文教师,以及英基总部课程设置助理。拥有出色的工作能力,现任华师附外IEP中教负责人及学生事务主任。

Amy graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with Master Degree and gained Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Hong Kong. Worked as Chinese Teacher and Curriculum Assistant in The English Schools Foundation (ESF) which s the largest provider of English-medium international education in Hong Kong. Amy is a hard worker, now she is the leader of Chinese teachers of IEP and student affairs director.

 

 

苑雪 Shirly

 

Shirly来自北京,毕业于首都师范大学。之前先后在北京的一所IB国际学校和一家美国教育机构工作,担任留学指导顾问。现在作为IEP的培训师加入华师附外,主要负责学生生涯规划和家长学院培训。她游历过很多国家,这给她带来了开放的思维和视野。非常乐于和学龄的孩子们一起合作,她深知——关乎教育没有小事。

Shirly is from Beijing, graduated from Capital Normal University which is known for training teachers. She used to work at an IB school in Beijing and an American education company, has experience in college application counseling. Now she’s working at SCNUFL as a counselor in IEP department, in charge of Student Career Planning and Parent Academy Counseling. She’s been to different countries that make her open minded. Shirly Always enjoys working with school aged students. She  knows there’s nothing small when it comes to education.
