四年级课室走廊上,孩子们的叫卖声此起彼伏。路过的同学、老师和家长们手中塞满了海报和优惠券。
这不是普通的集市,而是华外小学部四年级PBL项目成果展与年度慈善义卖的精彩融合——美食不仅是味蕾的享受,更是爱心的接力棒。孩子们化身美食制作者、精明销售员和创意宣传家,开启了一场舌尖与心灵的双重盛宴。
It's not an ordinary market. It’s a fusion of HW Primary Grade 4’s PBL Project Exhibition and the annual charity bazaar—where food is not just a feast for the taste buds, but a relay baton of love.



华外小学部始终坚持将公益精神融入教育。连续三年的大型义卖活动,凝聚了全体师生和家长的力量,共同践行公益。过去三年累计筹款25万余元,这些善款已用于资助乡村学校和社区的“童绘盒子乡村美育”及“华外幸福书屋”项目。
在众多义卖摊位中,美食因其独特的吸引力,往往是筹款效率最高的项目之一。这正是本次四年级将PBL项目与美食义卖紧密结合的初衷——让美食成为传递爱心的载体。
HW Primary consistently integrates philanthropy into education. Over three consecutive years, large-scale charity sales have mobilized joint efforts of students, parents, and teachers. Funds raised (over ¥250,000) supported rural schools and communities through the "Tonghui Boxes rural art education program" and "HW Happy Book House." Food stalls, often the most effective fundraisers, inspired Grade 4’s PBL-food charity fusion—making cuisine a vehicle for kindness.



四年级本学期的PBL课程主题是《舌尖上的城市》。该项目严格依据新课标对跨学科主题教学的要求,以大概念教学为引领,通过项目式学习(PBL) 深度落地。
This semester’s Grade 4 theme, A Bite of the City, followed national curriculum standards for interdisciplinary learning, anchored in big-idea teaching via Project-Based Learning (PBL).

秉承“更中国,更世界”的办学特色,同学们需要将研究本土美食文化的方法迁移到探索世界美食。他们探寻食物的源头、习俗形成的原因,理解美食背后的文化密码。并用其在数学学科学到的四则运算等知识设计打折优惠的菜单和宣传单,为义卖摊展做介绍和宣传,力争在义卖中吸引更多的顾客,筹得更多的善款。
Aligned with HW’s "Rooted Locally, Reaching Globally" ethos, students applied local food research methods to explore global cuisines. They traced food origins, studied cultural traditions, decoded culinary heritage, and used math (arithmetic, pricing) to design discounted menus and promotional flyers. Their goal: attract customers and maximize charity sales.
本次PBL项目精心设计了四个环环相扣的子任务,引导孩子们一步一个脚印,从认知走向实践,最终达成目标:
The PBL framework progressed through four structured stages:
Global Food Exploration:
通过资料搜集与整理,孩子们制作了精美的“世界美食介绍册”,并用全英文在班级内自信展示,打下文化与语言基础。



世界美食探究分享
Survey Design & Execution:
小组讨论设计问卷,利用课间积极进行市场调研。孩子们主动沟通,收集大量有效数据,精准把握“客户”(师生)口味偏好,为选品提供依据。



问卷调查
Hands-On Food Preparation:
根据调研结果确定售卖美食。孩子们亲手实践,学习制作技巧,并严谨记录原材料、人力等成本,为后续科学定价、计算利润做好充分准备。







美食制作体验
Marketing & Sales Strategy:
这是综合能力的集中展现。基于成本,运用数学知识设计合理且有吸引力的菜单、优惠策略;发挥创意设计宣传海报和优惠券;学习推销技巧。这是一场需要商业头脑与审美能力的综合实践。




在家长开放周活动中,孩子们将PBL项目的阶段性成果和最终筹备情况精彩呈现。家长们不仅看到了个人能力的成长(如解决问题、语言表达),更见证了团队协作的力量和项目学习的魅力。
At the Parent Open Week, students showcased PBL milestones and final preparations. Parents witnessed not only individual growth (problem-solving, communication) but also the power of teamwork and project-based learning.


历时近两个月的PBL探索,孩子们目标明确、任务分解、步步为营。从认知世界风味,到问卷设计与执行,再到亲手制作与营销策划,每个环节都充分发挥个人特长,为团队目标努力。项目极大地锻炼了他们的研究能力、组织协作能力、沟通表达能力、问题解决能力和实践操作能力。
Over two months, students pursued clear goals step-by-step. From studying world flavors to conducting surveys, creating dishes, and planning sales, each contributed strengths to team objectives. The project honed their research, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and practical skills.
最重要的是,通过这场融合了汗水与智慧的美食义卖,孩子们真切体会到了用劳动传递温暖、回馈社会的深刻意义与无上快乐。他们不仅学习知识、锻炼技能,更在心中播下了公益的种子。一次项目,多重成长!美食的链条,最终连接成爱心的接力。
Crucially, through this charity sale—blending effort and ingenuity—students experienced the profound joy of channeling labor into social impact. They gained knowledge, built skills, and planted seeds of philanthropy. One project, multifaceted growth: a chain of food, linked by love.
